From HELPING HANDS – MONKEYS HELPERS to ENVISIONING ACCESS, INC January 2024

Due to massive protests by activists, new US laws are banning monkeys in private homes. For this reason, Helping Hands adopted a new strategy in 2023 to pursue its activity by transiting in a new direction with Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Helping Hands’ vast knowledge on the benefits of the Human-Animal Bond interaction will help the Robotics Industry to develop robots replacing the tasks that the monkey assured beforehand for persons in a wheelchair. The use of specific types of robotics, as well as virtual and augmented realities will allow adults to be independent, go back to school, find meaningful employment, access avenues for socialization, connect to medical care or provide respite for a primary care giver if needed.

The transition from Helping Hands to Envisioning Access, Inc. obliged the ROBMAR Foundation to discontinue its financial support, as the Swiss national authorities did not accept its reasoned request to adapt their Statutes in this exceptional case.

Unwilling to abandon this brilliant organization, Envisioning Access will continue to receive support in another way.
